Single-phase “letterbox / window” adaptor.

If you stay with friends who have no external power point, then you’d have to take power from an indoor socket. Unfortunately, you can’t squeeze and crush the cable through a normal door closure, and a normal 13A UK plug (and the 16A 3-phase industrial socket) is far too large to fit through a letterbox. This is where this handy adaptor comes in.

At less than 28mm diameter, supporting full continuous 16A current and being totally waterproof with an IP68 rating, this is the ideal solution. You just poke the socket end through and the connect the plug on the other side.

Our standard 16A 3-phase (wired for single-phase only) plug and socket are fitted on the end allowing the use of our standard industrial extension leads to connect to the UMC’s red adaptor.

This adaptor can also be a life-saver when staying at hotels which don’t provide EV charging facilities and your hotel room has a security window preventing a sufficient opening for the normal socket to pass through.

Also exists in a three-phase version.

Comes supplied with dual PAT results certificates – one for each end of the cable.
