Similar to the single-phase “letterbox / window” adaptor, this adaptor is fitted with a 13A plug with a 2m cable run to the connecting parts. The weatherproof 13A socket is fitted on a short cable after the coupling connector.

If you stay with friends who have no external power point, then you’d have to take power from an indoor socket. Unfortunately, you can’t squeeze and crush the cable through a normal door closure, and a normal 13A UK plug (and the 16A 3-phase industrial socket) is far too large to fit through a letterbox. This is where this handy adaptor comes in.

At less than 35mm diameter, the connector will easily fit through small letterboxes, effectively providing a UK 13A 3-pin extension lead that simply pokes through your letterbox. The connector is totally waterproof (same connector used in our Compact range of products) with an IP68 rating and the 13A socket is weathproof with the hinged cover that can be shut to prevent moisture getting in.

This adaptor can also be a life-saver when staying at hotels which don’t provide EV charging facilities and your hotel room has a security window preventing a sufficient opening for the normal socket to pass through.

Comes supplied with dual PAT results certificates – one for each end of the cable.
